Workflows The Work.
Optimized Dailies & Editorial Workflows
Streamline your feature or episodic production with a true digital dailies solution that works directly on-set while you’re shooting. By eliminating the need for a separate editorial department, you can dramatically reduce your production costs and timeline during principal photography. Our solution works for any size feature or episodic production, large or small.
Our revolutionary online editorial workflow combines on-set sound sync with one-light color correction to provide a digital dailies output package, all on-set concurrent to your shooting schedule. All your camera footage and assets required to complete a rough cut of your feature are available directly on base-camp so you can see the results of your work without the delays caused by sending it to a separate offline editorial department. Your footage is stored and backed up for safety throughout the entire process, so you don’t lose a single shot.
This workflow has been developed after decades of delivering feature films to studios such as Lionsgate, Relativity Media, and Sony Pictures. It is time-tested and fully adaptable to the nuances of any production.

HOW IT WORKS
Nanotechniq dispatches all necessary equipment to base camp to process delivered footage for dailies and rough cut:
- ProTools system for audio sync and laybacks
- One-light color correction system (Filmworkz Phoenix or NuCoda) for matching
- Secondary system for Digital Intermediate
- NEC color correction viewing panels
- Christie 3-chip DCP for on-site client reviews
- Storage for online editorial system (Phoenix, NuCoda)
- Storage for DIT system (for ingest of memory card data from cameras)
Our process reduces the number of departments needed to produce your rough cut by combining processes – for example, your dailies department becomes the digital Intermediate Team (DIT), handling both in one step. Real-time production means real-time results – if your editor is on-site, you can have a complete rough cut ready for client review or screening in as little as 2 days after final shoot Output clips of rough cut can be formatted for any editing system (Apple ProRes, Avid DNX, etc.) for full compatibility and ease of use.Want to do your own production, or need to lease some editorial gear?
